1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using NaijaFarmers ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including but not limited to farmers, buyers, sellers, and marketplace participants.

2. Platform Services

2.1 What NaijaFarmers Provides

NaijaFarmers is a marketplace platform that:

• Connects agricultural buyers and sellers
• Provides AI-powered crop disease diagnosis
• Offers weather forecasts and agricultural advice
• Facilitates communication between users
• Displays market price information
• Provides a platform for listing and discovering products

2.2 What NaijaFarmers Does NOT Provide

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

3.2 Transaction Verification

Before engaging in any transaction, you must:

• Verify the identity and legitimacy of the other party
• Confirm product details, quality, and delivery terms
• Verify payment details (bank accounts, amounts, etc.)
• Read and understand our Safety Guidelines
• Report any suspicious activity immediately

4. Limitation of Liability

NaijaFarmers's maximum liability for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount of platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.

5. Dispute Resolution

5.1 User Disputes

If you have a dispute with another user:

1. Attempt to resolve the issue directly through platform messaging
2. File a dispute through the platform with supporting evidence
3. NaijaFarmers may, at its sole discretion, provide mediation
4. You release NaijaFarmers from all claims related to such disputes

5.2 Mediation Role

NaijaFarmers may offer dispute mediation as a courtesy service, but:

• We are not obligated to mediate any dispute
• Mediation decisions are non-binding recommendations
• We do not guarantee resolution of disputes
• Our mediation does not imply liability or responsibility

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresentation
• List prohibited or illegal products
• Manipulate prices, reviews, or ratings
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to bypass platform payment systems
• Create fake accounts or manipulate the platform
• Scrape or misuse platform data

7. Payment Methods & Fees

7.1 Available Payment Methods

NaijaFarmers currently supports manual payment methods:

• Bank Transfer: Direct transfer to seller's account
• Cash on Delivery: Cash payment upon product delivery

Automated online payment methods may be added in the future.

7.2 Platform Fees

NaijaFarmers charges a platform fee of 10% on completed transactions, deducted from the seller's payment. Additional fees may apply for premium features or services.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NaijaFarmers, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another user
• Your transactions with other users
• Content you post on the platform

9. Privacy & Data Use

Your use of NaijaFarmers is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or suspicious activity
• Multiple user complaints
• Legal or regulatory requirements
• Any other reason at our sole discretion

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
